teachHouston The University of Houston’s STEM teacher training program for secondary teachers is a partnership between the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) and the College of Education. teachHOUSTON was the first replication of the UTeach program at the University of Texas, and has been funded by the National Math + Science Initiative (NMSI), National Science Foundation, the Powell Foundation, the Williams Foundation, the Fondren Foundation, the Sid Richardson Foundation, the University of Hosuton, NSM and the Department of Mathematics, and many other donors.

Scholar Enrichment Program (SEP)

Center for Academic Support and Assessment – CASA CASA houses face-to-face tutoring in mathematics, secure testing (primarily in STEM), and course management software for administering online electronic assessments and distributing electronic learning materials. Nearly 20,000 student enrollments used CASA in the fall of 2012, and over 600,000 electronic assessments were given during the fall semester to students at UH. CASA also houses a wealth of free online learning and practice testing materials for students in high school AP calculus.
